The greatest challenge is keeping all the children in school. A primary (grade) school child costs about $60 per year average and a secondary (high) school child about $350 to $425 depending on local situations. Some of the secondary children have to board at the school due to distance. Many of the children are now entering secondary school and so costs are taking a six fold increase for each child. The minimum budget this January will be $11,968 and perhaps an additional $2,200 if four more of the children pass their entry exams for secondary school as expected.

The children are very bright, well fed, make excellent grades and are so appreciative of getting to go to school every day and have a nice uniform and shoes. In Africa their only hope is to get an education as without it, they are condemned to a life of poverty and perhaps starvation.

In addition to these orphans and widows, FMI assists with the widows and children of three Kenya Team members who have died in recent years. These men labored for many years as teachers of FMI seminars for pastors and they have not been forgotten.

In order to see this ministry to orphans and widows continue, we need your support. Through a donation of $50 per month you can feed and clothe an orphan. As stated above, their school fees are paid anually and one donation secures education for an entire year! Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God...is this: to look after orphans and widows in their trouble..." (James l:27, MLB) We know this is God’s heart and as we take a step of faith, we ask for your prayers and support. 100 % of every dollar given goes to help a child (or widow).
