Cliff & Stephanie currently make their home in Worcester, South Africa with their three children, Camille, Natalie, and Wesley. Before marrying in 1993, Cliff and Stephanie were both very actively involved in Christian ministry. Cliff began to serve the Lord after being converted in 1986. Soon after his conversion he attended bible school where he ultimately earned his PhD in Evangelism and New Testament. Stephanie was also very active in ministry and grew to love missions through her involvement with Youth With A Mission in 1989-1990, where she spent time in South America and Europe. In 1994, Cliff and Stephanie made their first trip together to Africa. During this time, the Lord deposited in them a deep love for the african people and a passion to see the church in Africa equipped. Through his affiliation with Rene Brown (Foundation Ministries International), Cliff began to travel throughout Africa teaching and equipping african ministers in 1996. For the next seven years Cliff traveled to Africa 1-2 times a year strengthening the body of Christ through preaching, teaching and mentoring. Also during this time he practiced "tent making" as a home builder in Fort Worth, Texas.

In January 2003 the Canipes relocated permanently to South Africa. Since that time Cliff has extensively developed his outreach to over 12 african nations working strategically with leaders in each country to help equip the church. Cliff's desire is to see Christians mature in their relationship with Jesus and he seeks to equip the church as he operates in his primary gifts of teaching and prophecy.
