Street Children Project

The Street Children Project is a newly adopted ministry for Equippers International. The ministry originally operated under El-Shammah Ministries. While the project's affiliation has changed the vision is still the same. We believe firmly that God has spoken clearly that the healing of the needy community of Roodewal will come as those who are most rejected and wounded are restored in their relationship with God and are then able to reach out to their own community with the loving, healing touch of Jesus (Isaiah 61:1-4). The greatest need of these children living on the streets is the restoration of the father’s heart in their lives (Malachi 4:6). It is with this focus that the Street Children Project seeks to see these boys restored and healed so they can live productive and fruitful lives for God.

Project Purpose
The purpose of the Street Children Project is to see boys between the ages of 8-20 years from dysfunctional families in Roodewal to be physically healthy, emotionally balanced, stable and mature young men, whose family values are restored, and as they have developed to maturity in Christ, they will reach their destiny and purpose in life.




Residential Treatment Facility
We believe that the greatest need for these boys is to experience the love and protection that comes from being part of a healthy and functioning family. It is with this belief that we are working to provide such an environment. The boys along with the Williams family will soon be living in their own "home" where they will learn to function as responsible family members. The ministry is currently raising funds to pay for this wonderful home and you can give as the Lord directs you to do so. We currently have 12 months to raise the necessary funds to pay for the house.



Project Goals
1. The boys will be physically healthy.
2. The boys will grow into emotionally balanced, stable and mature young men.
3. The boys will be restored in basic family values.
4. The boys will develop to maturity in Christ Jesus.
5. The boys will develop in their destiny and purpose for life.

Through a well developed program including residential treatment, personal discipleship, education and special camps, the boys are challenged in many ways that help them to reach these important goals.
