Ministry Update

Praise God! This is all we know to say after watching what God did in the lives of the boys during
our camp last month in Tulbaugh, South Africa. We had been praying and preparing for months asking God to meet the boys in a powerful and transforming way. And that is exactly what He did. Jane Mackie, who came all the way from Australia to join us with her team, explains what happened,

"Surely the Lord is up to something in South Africa? Never before have I seen Him move so powerfully, so quickly! . . . It was session one of the camp, step 1 (using our Kids Pray! Handbook) when the sobbing began beside me. A group of young guys were confessing their sins to one another before the Lord, face down on the concrete floor of the meeting hall. I could hardly believe it, we had only just begun! . . . It’s hard to put into words concisely all that God did over the 10 days of the camp. Suffice to say perhaps that He just moved! He brought freedom, deliverance, love, peace, joy to these 22 guys from Roodeval. We had wild nights – and days - of radical worship, where they were dancing before the Lord in a way they had NEVER done before; then there were calm nights where God was gently moving, ministering and touching hearts in deep and meaningful ways."

One of the most exciting things to see was the boys stepping out to minister to others as a result of the Lord having touched their lives. Many of them boldly prayed and ministered to each other and to the staff involved in the camp. The journey for many of these boys has just begun. They are now faced with the daily practicality of walking out what God has done in their hearts. We are sure that God is preparing many of these boys to be used mightily in South Africa and throughout the world. Please pray for them as the Lord puts them on your heart. Here are a few of the testimonies that were given following the camp.

He has been freed from his drug habit. He is still processing all that God has
done in his life over the week.

He said he knows he has been in the presence of God and that God
has delivered him from his drug habit.

This week he has been delivered from fear and believes God will free him from his drug habit.

He feels God has delivered him. He used to struggle when someone was angry with him.
Now he has peace and it doesn’t bother him. He believes that he is a leader/role model
and that God can use him to help others. He also believes that he has grown a lot in his faith.

The Lord has released him from his drug habit. Near the end of the camp he came to realise that he tends to run away from problems. He now knows that God wants him to give his problems to God and that God will help him.

He said he was very angry at his sisters at the beginning of the camp but God ministered to him.
He was able to forgive them and God has released him from his anger.

He believes God has delivered him from his drug addiction. He had a court appearance whilst
at the camp but they had lost his papers so the case was dropped. He realised that God is protecting him and has a plan and purpose for his life.
He has experienced God’s presence and now when he prays for others he feels God’s presence working through him.
He thanked everyone.

He was struggling with his drug habit before he came and now he feels he has been delivered from drugs.

God has strengthened and encouraged him through prophetic words he received at the camp.
He feels encouraged to continue to walk in his new freedom.

This camp has been a time where God has broken a lot of stuff in his life. He says he was very shy at first but now can shout FREEDOM. He feels the chains and shackles are falling away and God is setting him free.

In addition to all that God is doing in the lives of these boys, we continue to see God working throughout the Body in Worcester as well as other areas in South Africa. We have a deep sense that 2006 is going to be a significant year for the Body and that God is positioning His church like never before to fulfill her eternal purpose in Christ.

Cliff also traveled to Durban at the end of the month. This was his second time to minister in this area of the country. He is busy building relationships there and can really see God working in lives of many people. Cliff will also be traveling into Africa more this year. We will keep you posted on those trips as we have more details.

It is so exciting to be involved in what God is doing during these days. There is such an evident work of His Spirit among the saints that is bringing more and more people to the point of absolute surrender to Jesus as the Head and the Spirit's leadership in the Body. As this work increases more people are laying aside their agendas and opinions and allowing Jesus to have His way in all things. We just believe that as this work increases across the Body of Christ we will see God move in more and more power to draw the world to Himself and glorify His magnificent Son, Jesus Christ.

Family Update

We as a family are doing great. The children began another school year in January (they have a year around school year) and Stephanie is busy helping with the music program at the school. Camille started fourth grade, Natalie third grade and Wesley is in full-day kindergarten. They continue to be involved in many extra-curricular activities with the school such as trumpet lessons, swimming and sport and Camille is still taking ballet. And of course, as the children grow older their homework increases; we feel like we're the ones in school again! It is a full-time job to keep up with it all. Wesley will celebrate his sixth birthday on February 8th.

As we witness God working in people's lives we are aware more than ever of what a great blessing it is to be serving the Lord and walking in His design for our lives. We want to thank you all for your love and support for us and our ministry here in Africa.
